An exploration of Gabrielle Roth's physical improvization practices, which will guide the building of giant puppets out of cardboard, and then crafting queer performance with the giant masks. The 5 Rhythms improvisational practice uses dance as a somatic approach to healing and self-discovery. It is a practice that guides individuals to release emotions, connect with the body and the body’s impulses.
Puppetry with the making of giant masks is to bring to life the immaterial as a way to understand the nature of the material world. By blurring the boundaries of the living and the dead, puppetry and object performance blur all other binaries.
